About the Zamora Family Foundation
The Zamora Family Foundation was founded by Rose, Jacqueline, and Caroline Zamora to honor the life of Arnold Zamora, husband to Rose for over 25 years and father to Jacqueline and Caroline, and to give back to the community that continues to give them so much.
Arnold spent 27 years working at White Sands Test Facility for NASA, through Lockheed, Allied Signal, and Honeywell, and was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union Lodge 2515. He carried that same work ethic home, coaching softball for over two decades, including his own daughters' teams, and never letting the loss of an eye or a leg keep him off the pool table, where he was "the one to beat".
Arnold and Rose built their marriage on hard work and a deep belief in education, and they made sure their daughters knew that belief was meant for them too. Rose spent 25 years with the State of New Mexico, all while raising Jacqueline and Caroline to follow that same path of service in their own professions. Rose now serves as Treasurer/Secretary of the Zamora Family Foundation, carrying Arnold's legacy forward, as she has carried everything else in their life together: with quiet strength and unwavering faith.
Jacqueline and Caroline knew when starting the foundation that their friends along the way were important to them. Board members include Diana and Tory, who are childhood best friends of Jacquie and Caroline. Diana is a social worker serving children and families throughout southern New Mexico. And Tory is an obstetrician-gynecologist serving families in Kentucky.
Through this foundation, our family continues what Arnold and Rose started: showing up for family, working hard, and believing that education can carry the next generation further than the last.
